the waking dream is alarming
at best it’s a warning
not necessarily harming
but a slow, silent nudge
toward what we know
but we don’t face,
faceless it haunts us
in eaves and chambers,
attic batting and floor boards
it’s truthmeaninglessness
and humility and hopelessness
fragility, mortality, erasing of memory, and the
movement of love which
answers all questions
