aftermath
It wasnt so much the
demise of the science
of numbers
the meshes of fractions
symbols, therums and
rules
It was the way
nothing could reduce
or end in a definitive
moment, a period, or
decimal
No quantitative term
could hold the worth
of any one person
thing, want, or
moment
It was the way the
need to number
died; the way
computers stopped
Even language as
a math, or math
as a language
became unwritten
eventually unread
